Explore the old town and port on foot. Use Mistral buses for Mourillon’s beaches and waterbuses for other shores of the bay, including Les Sablettes and Saint-Mandrier. Trains also serve Hyères, Bandol and the Sanary area.
Your itinerary
First day: discover the city on foot
Start with a loop through the old town, Cours Lafayette and harbour. Depending on your accommodation, reach this area on foot or by bus, then group visits together. If you arrive by train with luggage, arrange what to do with it before starting your visits. Check the terms of a luggage-storage service if needed, so you can explore the centre more comfortably.
Next: make transport part of the experience
Choose a crossing to La Seyne, Les Sablettes or Saint-Mandrier using the official route pages. Leave time for a walk at the destination and check the return before boarding. Water buses are transport, not guided tours; their value is opening up another shore without driving.
Mourillon and excursions: calculate the final stretch
For Mourillon, use the journey planner from your actual stop and check late-day services. For Hyères, Bandol or Sanary, also examine the connection between the arrival station and the place you want to visit. A town served by trains does not necessarily have its beach or old centre just outside the platform.
Build a fallback plan
Save useful timetables and keep phone battery for service information. If maritime transport is disrupted, a central day can replace the excursion.
