Péno has several small bays near Les Salettes harbour in Carqueiranne. The promenade and restaurants are close, making it easy to combine the beach with lunch by the port.
The beach and its surroundings
The shoreline includes sand and fine gravel in different areas. Look around briefly before settling: comfort underfoot, available space and distance to the entrance vary between bays. Stay in authorised spaces and read the bathing information.
The nearby harbour lets you extend a swim into a walk and a meal without planning another substantial journey. Restaurants may be heavily booked in season; check opening and reserve if you have a time constraint or a large group.
Péno stands out for its bays and direct connection to the promenade and harbour; Le Pradon offers a more compact sandy beach.
Parking can be difficult in summer; arriving early reduces the pressure. A few trees do not guarantee enough shade where you settle, so bring sun protection. The beach is described as lifeguarded in season; check the operating post and hours locally.
