Le Pradon is a small sandy bay in Carqueiranne, next to Péno. Come for a swim, then head to Les Salettes harbour for a meal or a walk.
The beach and its surroundings
Le Pradon differs from rockier nearby shoreline through its main sandy area. That does not mean all its edges are alike: there are rocks at the ends and sea conditions affect entry to the water. Before putting down your towel, identify the authorised zone and a comfortable way out.
To stay longer, add a meal and a walk towards Les Salettes harbour. Nearby Péno is another swimming option, with shoreline divided into several bays.
Avenue de la Mer is the access landmark. Parking options exist nearby but fill quickly in peak season. Leaving the car farther back and finishing on foot may be easier than circling near the beach. Check local signs, any charges and reserved spaces.
The shape of the cove may offer shelter from certain wind directions, but no beach is comfortable or safe in every situation. Check conditions and flags before swimming even if the sea looks calm from the promenade.
