At Halles Biltoki, several food traders share one covered market. Everyone can order from a different counter and still eat together. The building opened in 1929 and stands on Place Vincent-Raspail in the old town.

More about your visit

The Halles bring together several traders: this is not a single restaurant with the same menu and service throughout. Walk around the counters, check what is available and how to order, then organise your table. In a group, agree on a meeting point before splitting up; it avoids food getting cold while everyone looks for each other. The selection changes. Check Biltoki’s current list of traders if you are coming for a particular speciality, dietary requirement or occasion. Ask the relevant trader directly about allergens.

The covered market opened in 1929. The historic building now houses the Biltoki food counters. You can come for a meal or simply look at the architecture during a walk through the centre.

This is a useful option in rainy weather, for a sociable lunch or for meeting friends with different tastes. If you want a very quiet dinner with leisurely table service, an independent restaurant may suit you better. At busy times, finding a place can require patience and flexibility.
