Bandol combines a harbour, town-centre streets and Renecros beach. Start along the quays, stop at Place de l’Église, then head to the beach if the weather suits. Half a day covers this walk; allow longer for lunch or a swim.
More about your visit
Begin by observing the different boats and harbour views, then head towards the central squares. Take time to read menus before choosing a meal; the seafront offers different atmospheres and budgets. Place de l’Église is another stop on the walk.
Renecros beach can extend the outing with time by the water or a swim when conditions allow. Check the exact access if bringing a pushchair or travelling with someone who finds walking difficult: a beach close to the centre may still require a particular route. Bring sun protection and read the information displayed on site. Coastal paths heading west are a different outing. Do not treat them as an improvised extension in sandals: check access conditions and choose an appropriate route if you really want to hike.
The wine centre introduces the Bandol appellation and provides information about available tastings. If wine interests you, plan this stop in place of part of your beach afternoon. Arrange your return before tasting so that you will not need to drive after drinking.
